Pharmaceutical division researches, develops and manufactures over-the-counter (OTC) drugs healthcare products, prescription medicines, and opthamalmic & medical equipments for medical institutions.
Research & Development
The Company's Tokyo New Drug Research Laboratories and Fuji Laboratory conduct R&D for ethical drugs, focusing on three main activities: drug discovery, innovative formulation discovery, and development of "neo generics" (value-added or differentiated generics).
Production, Quality Assurance & Safety Management
Kowa owns manufacturing plants in Nagoya, Fuji and Mohka for the production of OTC drugs, prescription medicines, quasi-drugs and healthcare products. We maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations ensuring quality of finished drugs and high standards of on-site safety awareness. We are also committed to promote correct use of our products by medical practitioners.
